All of our embroidered patches are available with any of the following backing types. Choosing the correct backing for your patches is very important. Backings determine how the patch is worn or displayed and whether it is permanently affixed to your garment or easily removed for future use.
PVC Plastic
A plastic backing normally applied to emblems for stabilization and sew-on purposes.
Heat Seal or Iron On
Heat sensitive backing that allows a patch to be ‘ironed on’ to a garment.
Peel & Stick
A special adhesive is applied to emblems with a wax paper protective back that can be pealed off and temporary adhered to garments. If desired, these “Peel & Stick” emblems can be heated and permanently applied to any garment.
Velcro or Hook and Loop
The velcro “hook” fabric (the rough part) is die cut to the emblem’s shape and then sewn to the back of the emblem. Upon request the emblems are shipped with the die cut to emblem shape Velcro “loop” fabric (the soft fuzzy part) attached to the hook fabric.
Butterfly Clip
Gold or silver plated metal “butterfly tie tack & clips” are attached to the backs of the emblems for temporary clip on use.
Magnetic
Vinyl covered magnetic backs are epoxied on the backs of emblems for temporary breast pocket use.
Button Loops
A button loop is sewn onto the top back of the emblem for attaching to a breast pocket button.
